Girls Soccer Sectionals Round One 10/5/17

In the first sectional game, the Girls Soccer Team faced off against the Lady Indians from Lake Central in Munster. Senior Emily Bogordos scored the first goal of the game from a cross into the box where she redirected it to the goal. The Indians scored a goal with thirteen minutes left in the first half. At the end of the first half the score was 1-1 until senior Haneen Abdulla scored a goal with two minutes left in the second half pushing the Bulldogs ahead. Senior Grace Lynch had two impressive penalty kick saves that helped keep the Bulldogs in the game. Sophomore Bridget Rayonec scored in the last minute of the game off a cross from senior Paytn Grady. The final score of the game was 3-1. The Bulldogs will face off against Munster this Saturday at 7 p.m. for the final round of sectionals.

Kira Schuelka
Kira Schuelka is entering her second year in the journalism program at Crown Point High School. She is the associate editor and she is excited for another year of writing for Inklings. She enjoys writing news stories and editing other staffers’ work. Outside of Inklings, she plays Varsity Soccer, is a Director for NHS and is the Senior Class Treasurer. Kira plans to major in Business Communications and eventually become a publicist.
